This set it pretty fun and the illustrations for the characters are entertaining as well. The magnets aren't very strong (understandable, from the safety aspect) but some of the pieces have a hard time staying on. There are quite a few little pieces as well, so you have to be careful not to lose them.

Tolles Spiel

This is a very intense build, it is like leggos but very small pieces. I don't recommend for young children.

I brought this for camping trips. I went for the smaller one and its about 50% bigger than I expected but thats my fault for not looking at the dimensions.

I wanted something big enough to use, small enough to pack and the tube it come in is quite big but by no means too but. It went into my backpack no problem and to be fair had it been the size I was expecting I think it would have been too fiddly to actually use.

I LOVE IT. Spending a night by a camp fire and a river drinking and relaxing playing chess (badly) was amazing. Its now part of my essential kit

Its well made, the mat actually sits flat and light as a feather.

My only tip would be to paint a red and white dot on the bishops heads as after a few jack n comes I kept mistaking it for a pawn

Would recommend in a heart beat.

This is not for ages 3+ and up, it definitely needs some background with Legos. I love Legos and put together pieces in an hour or two but this one was challenging because the blocks are smaller and the instructions werent the most clear or upfront unlike Lego. I think step 25 was supposed to be 24 and 24 supposed to be 25.
But it was challenging and I enjoyed putting it together very much!

Very difficult to put together. But persistence paid off.

We celebrate Passover with adults but with fun in mind. I bought these because I remember getting a kaleidoscope at a party when I was young and how fun they are. I placed them at each guest place setting and when the guests saw them they went wild! How fun is that! These are made well and perfect for the price.

The legs were kinda hard to put on. And they don't snap well. You can kinda slide the pieces around. Instructions arent the easiest thing. I had to double check a few times. But once you get the hang of it it's easy.

I just received it today. I have my fingers crossed I can easily put it together. If not Ill have to have the Lego expert in the family my grandson to help me. He is only 9 but hes very good at these things.

The roll up chess board has long been a solution to taking a chess set with you when travelling.
The Netflix series The Queens Gambit shows Beth using a roll up leather type version of this type of chess set.
Research shows they cost a fair bit of money.
This on the other hand is a budget priced and functional alternative to the one Beth uses.
The cardboard tube it comes with would benefit from having some duck tape wrapped round it to help it live longer.
The pieces are plastic.
They are small but functional.
The board is vinyl and lays flat.
Its functional and worth the money.

Arrived super fast... This was a very challenging build and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it... I am almost done with it... I had to remove a few plates on the bottom when I was attaching the first deck... It wanted to cave in at the center and I needed to get under it to help support it... Worked fine and was able to move on... The bricks were well made and fit together very well...

Pieces are really small but it's really fun to try to follow the instruction and build a cute cat. Wouldn't recommend for young child, but it's a good product for teenagers and adults!

I recommend it. Really.
